Sunday update
We had a great weekend. Brady has been talking a lot! The other day, Friday I think, we had a conversation like this.
Me: "Good morning Brady!"
Brady: " work?"
Me: "Yes, I have to go to work today."
Brady: "BYE BYE!!!!"
Me: "I have to brush my teeth first."
Brady: "Have fun!"
While Brady was napping yesterday and today, I took advantage of the nice weather to do a little work in our back yard. I had about one hour each time. I pruned some bushes and threw away a bunch of dead leaves and pulled up some weeds. I pulled up a weed that had a bunch of dirt stuck in the roots. Then I started banging it against something to knock the dirt off.
Suddenly I had a flash back. I remembered helping my parents do weeding in the flower bed around the house, and I remember having to do the same thing. And I remember thinking, "When I grow up, I will never waste my time gardening!"
Ha ha! How things change!
Another thing I remember from when I was a kid is occasionally I would go with my Dad to the garbage dump. I was always amazed at what people would throw away. I remember seeing things like motorcyles that only needed a wheel or a seat, and thinking, I could totally fix that up!
It still amazes me what people throw away. Yesterday in the dumpster I saw a kids' bike frame. I didn't get it out. And today I saw an electric griddle! It was a Black and Decker just like the one George bought recently for work. I'll never know why they threw it away. If it was working, I would hope they would at least donate it to Goodwill or something.
We had a great dinner tonight. We went to Frankie, Johnny, and Luigi's. We had the family special which includes salad, pizza, spaghetti, and chicken. It's a lot of food!
