south carolina (IPPS)
I just got back from south carolina. its a dang long way up there. (~5hrs). we went to the international plant propagators (IPPS.org) annual meeting and toured some nurseries and a seed packing plant. Kinda boring...ok, REALLY boring!!! We stayed in Greenville, SC - it's a pretty city, but had a wierd feel to it. it was like it was TOO perfect - like there was some fakeness about it. the last nursery we toured today - we got off the bus, and they had refreshments for us - well, those refreshments included all the budwieser, bud light, coors light, etc. that you could drink. All but about 3-4 of us had a field day drinking it up(no pun intended - it was in a field, get it?). Its amazing how many people drink beer like water. kinda funny i thought. i am ready to sleep in my own bed! but now I have been to South Carolina. There is NOWHERE like SWEET HOME ALABAMA!!! Things are just so much better here!
