could the last days at auburn be this week? I got a nasty email from stephen mcfarland (dean of AU graduate school), it reads as follows:
Mr. Brown:
The Graduate School and the graduate faculty of Auburn University set high academic
standards for graduate students in keeping with the university's commitment to excellence in research, instruction, and extension. Regrettably, your cumulative grade point average has not met the 3.0 standard required to remain in good academic standing for nine credit hours past the point where it fell below a 3.0. At the direction of the Graduate Council, I must place you on ACADEMIC SUSPENSION. To be readmitted to your graduate program, you, your major professor, and your department chair or head must first prepare a remediation plan designed to prepare you for return to your graduate program. The remediation plan must include a minimum grade point average for the courses in the plan and a specified period of time, assuming subsequent readmission, for you to raise your cumulative grade point average to a 3.0 or above. If approved by the dean of the Graduate School, you will be enrolled as a non-degree student to complete the plan.BLAH BLAH BLAH
Sincerely, Stephen L. McFarland
Acting Associate Provost for Academic Affairs
and Dean of the Graduate School
(Pray you never get one of these by the way). So now me and Dr Williams are gonna sit down tomorrow evening and work up a plan. I would have finished classwork this fall, and I may still... It's all up to that guy who sent the email. i think i can still get my assistantship if i get back in. I hope I can get my football tickets too... but if not, I dont have a CLUE what I am gonna do!!! PRAY HARD! I know the Lord is sovereign, but it's hard not to worry about it.
