Increase in Violence towards Young Children

Violence against children aged 0-10 more than doubled in 2007, according to a study based on data from A&E departments. Apparently it is unclear whether parents and carers are responsible for this increase, and there is a suggestion that violence between children is becoming more common. This could have implications for the question of attribution when deciding whether to make a care or supervision order.
