Snippets of Life...
Since I can't think of one specific topic to write about, I'll quickly touch upon a few...
- The Dresden Files TV show was better and more enjoyable after a second viewing. After also listening to Jim Butcher's (the author of the Dresden Files books) comments and excitement about the show on the Butcher Block podcast, I overall have a more positive outlook on the show.
- MI-5 continues to impress. Two episodes into series three, and I'm just as hooked and blown away as I was throughout the first two series. This has to be the best spy show I've ever seen, bar none, and I've seen a lot of 'em. ;)
- I'm DYING as I wait for my Dresden Files books to arrive, because I wanna read what happens next NOW. I can wait, however, and be patient. A friend of mine is reading my loaned copy of Storm Front (the first book in the series) and said it's "Great!". I think we might have another fan on our hands. :)
- Since I'm running two sessions on the Serenity RPG at EnigmaCon this weekend, I've been spending time reaquaniting myself with the rules in the rulebook, and am still impressed at how elegant a system it is. I can't wait for this weekend, but I'm still a little nervous about it. I'm sure it'll be fine, though.
- I've begun watching The Inside on my Archos, and so far I'm loving it. Why does Fox cancel such good programming? Why is Tim Minear cursed?
- I've been convinced to jump into 24 this season, if for nothing else than to share the excitement with Kelly. I'm going to download the previous eps and start watching ASAP.
- My doctor is happy with my progress on the Cymbalta, as am I. I'm feeling happier and more confident in myself, FINALLY. :)
