just a few things...
SO MANY THINGS HAVE HAPPENED TO ME TODAY!!!
Okay...first thing...for all of you who missed out on the greatness that is "Lost" this season, on Wednesday, a week from yesterday, ABC will begin rerunning the entire season at 9pm beginning with the ever so wonderful pilot episode.
Second, I might get another $150 this summer for doing something great...the APPLE kids have interest groups on Monday nights during summer session where they get together with someone and explore a hobby. Well, the girl who lives next door to me is probably going to lead a yoga interest group and I thought, you know, I could do that too...so I'm going to lead one about music appreciation. You know, start out with doo wop then elvis (of course), the beatles, and whatever else I can think of...I think it will be fun fun fun!! And I only have to do it for 1 hour on 4 mondays during summer session. $150 for 4 mondays, how crazy is that?!!
Third, I'm really beginning to believe that Kim actually likes me. In the office today, she told me that I'm as handy as a pocket on a shirt...now, I've never heard that before, but I'm guessing its a compliment. We actually joked around and I felt almost relaxed around her...so wonderful!! Maybe this summer won't be as stressful as I had thought.
Fourth, I finished my first book of the summer just the other day. It was "Elvis and Me" by Priscilla Presley, and it was very good. I enjoyed reading about Elvis from the standpoint of someone who loved him as opposed to someone on the outside. My mom has the book that his father wrote at home. I'll probably end up reading that one once I'm back in KC.
Fifth, I got kazaa to work on my computer today!! It was so exciting until I ran out of ideas for songs to download and then my computer crashed. I got about 10 new songs and then decided to uninstall it...but at least I know P2P works during the summer here!!
Sixth, I'm taking part in a class action lawsuit against HP, the manufacturer of my computer. I'm not sure if any money is involved, but I am sure that if the case is decided in our favor, HP will fix my POS computer for free!! Now that's awesome...since its been screwed up for almost 2 years now.
Seventh, this time next week I will be moved into a new dorm, getting ready for my lovely students to get to campus. I love my job so much...I can't wait for them to get here!!
Eighth, I've been working on all kinds of things to get the sorority organized, and I feel so accomplished. I've almost completely written the bylaws and the code of conduct. Soon, I'm going to design some letterhead and make up some forms...girls, next year belongs to us...we will be great!!
Finally, I'm gonna get a bicycle!!! I'm so freaking excited...I haven't had a bike since I was 12 and there's this beautiful silvery light blue one at wally world that I must have...I'm getting it as soon as I get paid!!
