(no subject)
I am no longer a seasonal employee of Lakeshore Learning Materials. I am, instead, a part-time employee now. Time for celebration! (And by celebration I, of course, mean an extra Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and chocolate. ;) )
I got some great compliments upon finding this out, as well (and yes, I am about to brag). V, one of the managers, said I was a good worker and I fit there. Another manager said that she'd known for a couple of weeks when the store manager had talked with her about which seasonals they knew for sure they wanted to stay. :D
So, yes, I was randomly grinning like crazy at work tonight. I still am. I'm really glad I got to stay, but I'm even more glad that I want to stay. They have higher standards than most places, but I kind of like that. After working there for a while, it's something I admire the company for.
(By the way, Lakeshore is the reason I decided to get busy and learn Spanish for real, even more so since I'm going to stay.)
