Downtown, everything's waiting for you.
Hey Ya'll....
So I'm recovering from my week of celebrating. But, not in the way you'd think. I've been drinking, but that's not what's killing me. I've spent so much time out and so little eating healthy stuff my body needs to detox and I really need to get healthy.
But, that aside. My Downtown night was AMAZING.
We did dinner on the UES at Mary Ann's. I made Chicken Cutlet Saltimboca, which came out amazing. My green beans needed something... I'm not exactly sure what, but something. And, my baked Macaroni and Cheese was a little dry from keeping warm in the oven, but was so delicious anyway. It could've been a little better, but my friends had never eaten my cooking before, so it's better the low note was the first one so it can only get better.
We then headed miles and miles south to the Annex to see The Filthy Youth. Now... I so didn't want to be the douche bag who got into this band because the lead singer is on Gossip Girl. But! They were playing a New York show, plenty of other douche bags had already done so... and well after a listen to their music they're actually quite good. I have a hard time deciphering what it is that Ed Westwick is saying but it's still good. Haha. The set was good, due to a slow moving bouncer I missed my favorite song "City Stop", but it was good. Moving on... it was a Gossip Girl party. Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meister, the chick who plays Vanessa, some background character including my favorite Dreama! And, Michelle Tractenberg who's a new character. After they left, the scene slowed and we decided to get drunk.
After a few rounds, we moved slightly north to Beauty bar. Oh. My. God.
So much fun. I had too much too drink, and did even more dancing. They played the best shit there. At one point when Hung Up came on I jumped up on the table in the corner we were in and danced, danced, danced. It was a blast. I can't even begin to describe it. But, it's made me love M, E, T, & K so much more they were so great to me. And, I felt so lucky. So now I have to rock the fucking shit out of their birthdays lol.
I've been reading some HP and helping a friend through a tough time, which I'm not allowed to discuss at present time. Other than that, I've been lying low. On Friday I hope to help my sister realize her dream of meeting Chace Crawford. And Cobra Starship is on Conan on Thursday so that lying low thing won't last too long haha.
