(no subject)
i'm off tomorrow for the giant anderson reunion. it's really just my dad's brothers and sisters, but there's enough cousins etc to keep it crazy. my aunt and uncle that spent several years in botswana came in last night. they are SO excited for me to spend time in south africa. they speak about it with such passion and enthusiasm. it makes me even more pumped to go in the spring! because of their travels, i think my parents are learning to be less wary about the whole adventure and my aunt and uncle made great friends in south africa, that i can meet while i'm there. i'm SO pumped for this crazy, amazing 3 and a half months. AWESOME.
the next three weekends should be fun filled. again i am excited :)
due to my stewart title layoff (stupid, bad business managers. thanks for screwing over a college student.), i was able to pick up 3 shifts at northcoast. i'm up to like 25 hrs next week, but still better than nothing. tonight my coworker katie was enthusiastic about seeing if they would hire me at the other restaurant she works at. i'd be all about it, a chance for more then 40 hrs which would be gooooouda.

i really like minnesota lakes in the summertime. it's a feeling and place i've yet to duplicate. while there are many other beautiful places in the world, the beauty of the comfort of a minnesota lake on a warm summer's day is one in its own.
i had lunch yesterday with ellen and jill. ( directly after which the infiniti G20, decided to die on 55. thanks to amoco car club things were painless, but what a pain in the butt. the beast does have 197,000 miles on it, but it was a definte surprise for it suddenly quite. but anyhoo). it was so fun to catch up with both of those girls. i've been friends with them since i was 11 years old, making them some of my oldest friends. while we haven't kept in the best contact the last two year, yesterday it felt like we picked up right where we left off. i need to make a point to stay in better touch with them. we've really been around each other as we grew up. from junior high to high school and all the drama that brought to looking at schools and moving away. just cool to keep those people that know you so well close still.
ok blabbity blab, i need to sleep so i can get up and work out, pick up my seeeester from l'aeroport and drive 4 hours to luuuutsen.
