This past weekend was really cool. Friday night was a welcomed blast...
I saw this movie called CAMP and felt high from it's joy the entire night. I saw it with
mickymse and he was right there with me, enjoying the songs (Must own that soundtrack) and the story (Must own that DVD). It's been a long time since a movie made me feel that good.
Saturday was CookBoys and C.C.Attles. CookBoys was a lot of fun. I must admit that I love putting these events together even though they can be a pain in the ass. This one seemed so effortless, despite the fact that I worked hard to bring it together. There's just a simple joy in eating and hanging out with lots of different people.
Later that night was the gathering at C.C.'s. My God, the alcohol flowed. And I just had three drinks. It truly was fun. I spent the vast majority of my time with
londonium . He's a great guy (I knew this all along) and a distant but still potent crush I had came to the fore a bit. I don't know if this is simply "wish fufillment" or maybe something more. Who knows? I enjoyed the company so maybe I should just shut the hell up and whatever happens will happen.
Sunday, I bought new stuff at Bed, Bath and Beyond. New sheets, pillows and fitters for my bedroom. My God. How did I not come to that place before. The sheets and fitter I bought was 1000+ thread count, Egyptian cotton. I don't know what that means but when I tell people, they look at me dazzled and impressed so I must've done something right.
I spent the rest of Sunday with my friend Erick. We went to the Matrix again and went to R-Place to smash ourselves with beer. We were joined later by Thomas and Daniel, two good guys I hadn't seen in a long time. A good time was had by all.
Monday, I got to know the upstairs neighbors by attending their BBQ. It was the most amount of straight people I'd been around in a long, long time. While I am no closer to understanding this unique species and their savage ways, it was fun to make contact, eat and drink for free and live to tell the tale.
My apologies go out to: well, anyone who had to listen to me snore. I just stocked up on ear-plugs. All about the ear-plugs.
