Brian was pretty excited for Thanksgiving this year. It was his first Thanksgiving married and his last Thanksgiving without kids. Next Thanksgiving there would be four of them. He was still trying to get his head around the fact that they were expecting twins, but he was happy. He dressed up in a shirt and trousers, looking himself over in the mirror. He had a bump appearing now and it was getting more difficult to hide. Not that he wanted to hide it at all.
He reached over, squeezing S knee in the car as they made their way to M and A "Imagine,” he said, “This is our first Thanksgiving as a married couple, but our last Thanksgiving without kids,” he remarked with a smile.
When they arrived, Brian took the non alcoholic wine he’d bought for himself and M and knocked on the door of the house.

Brian squeezed S hand tightly, smiling at him. “I’m really happy with our life,” he told him softly. “I already know you’re going to spoil these kids, and be an amazing father,” he added. He watched the men bring up the food, cocking an eyebrow and smirking. “I just hope there’s enough left for everyone else, if M's appetite is anything like mine is lately,” he remarked. He found recently that he just couldn’t stop eating.
He turned, hearing footsteps behind them and smiled, seeing R. “Hi,” he greeted, warmly. “Happy Thanksgiving,” he greeted, turning again as he heard the door open. . “hey! Thank you for having us,” he said, stepping inside the house with a smile.
