I’ve been holding back on posting this one, because I wanted to wait until
Jason had a chance to see it in person. Not sure why, just, felt like I wanted to share with him and a few others in person before I went and said it more loudly.
Nearly three years ago, I talked about

So I made the point to my wife that I didn't want a standard car. One reason for me buying the Cherokee was that it was inexpensive compared to the S-10 Blazer and Ford's counterpart (can't remember the name). The main reason was that I've had nothing but cars before then, and anytime I had to buy something bulky it was a bitch hauling it around or had to depend on a friend.
So, the decision to buy something that I can continue to haul stuff around was pretty high on my list. The "cuv" line of vehicles seemed to be the logical choice. We also figured there'd be enough room for when we had a child, but we were wrong on that point. The other reason for the Matrix was that my brother-in-law works for Toyota and he gave us a helluva deal.
Well, now we have a Sienna. The mileage is actually similar to the Matrix, but a lot more power and a cavernous amount of room to haul stuff around in. The first couple of weeks were pretty intimidating as far as navigating that land yacht is concerned, but I've seemed to be gotten more acclimated to it.

We'd test-driven the Matrix and we really enjoyed that too, and I could have seen us going with that, but I just fell in love with the Fit. It's such a neat little car, and I have to say, I'm immensely impressed with the amount of cargo room. The ability to flip both back seats down totally flat meant I could easily haul my full Rock Band setup without any space concerns at all. I only know that because, well, erm, I kind of had my spare set of drums and a guitar in the trunk of the Accord at the time of swap. It was kind of funny.
