First update in forever
Well, Okinawa is incredible. It's really weird being in a foreign country where you have to obey laws and such. Plus, there is a suprising anti-american sentiment from some of the locals. Aaron and I got kicked out of a bar last night because they don't serve Americans, which is a lot of the places around here. Taxis also. But, overall everyone is very friendly, even the people who don't like us. It was more of a "please leave" then a "get the fuck out." To be honest, I'd prolly be bitter too with our given history here.
The language barrier is rough. I have started picking up on some of the lingo, and I am going to start practicing with aaron here really soon, so we can both be proficient in Japanese. I figure we have enough time. The local beer is pretty good, Orion. The beach is phenomenal. I have a bike now, so going to the beach (1/2 mile walk) is easy.
