Hugging robots since August 29, 1997
These last few days i've been thinking, if i put my head to it i could actually write a book. I've had a few ideas, just not the knowledge to put pen to paper (as in develop the plot, characters etc). I am still out of work. I had an interview the other week, possibly my best, but i guess i didn't get it because i have heard nothing back. Life hasn't changed.
In other news, downloading of interwebby stuff just gets more regular of late. I am well in to the news series "Heroes" on NBC. I couldn't be bothered to follow up on Jericho's slight promise, and am quite glad i did seeing as i have heard nothing but rubbish about it. Good idea, shame about the quality. Battlestar Galactica has returned and that is pretty good aswell. Lost, however, is a show that should have been wrapped up in one or two series. This third series is quite rubbish at the moment. The only thing that will brighten it up is the 4th episode (im guessing it goes 1st:what happened to them who got captured, 2nd:what happened with the rescue attempt and one of them losties getting turned against the others, 3rd: what happened with the hatch with a breathless hurley turning up at the end, 4th: an ep featuring hurley seeing libby and his mate dave as he slowly decends into madness through no food and no human contact). I'll carry on watching Lost because i am slightly interested with where they go with everything, but i do think the way the producers have gone about with it is wrong. Especially as the only people who know what the numbers meant were those who were keeping up with an online game (it has something to do with the end of the world)).
And now to the reason for the post. I hate driving and everything associated with it. Especially saturday driving. On saturday i had to take my mum to work, and it was quite foggy as was to be expected. What i did not expect were the idiots who decided to overtake me when visiblity was down and bends were coming up. Also i am looking for insurance and spent today checking some places up, and then getting calls back asking if i wanted another quote. I've since decided to give fake phone numbers until i actually want to make a deal. Then i get this: "Please untick this box if you do not consent to us contacting you with further information" which made no sense to my insurance annoyed brain. It may seem straight forward but it isn't. Especially as no other sites work like that.
And finally, the other reason for this post. There's this bloke called Phideaux (i think it's pronounced fido) Xavier who does some nice music. I first heard him a few months back on uknova radio and have been looking for his stuff since last week when i actually remembered his name. Anyway i like it, you might too. Go here, for music click on media and to download just follow the instructions although it doesn't seem to work in firefox and is a bit fiddly in internet explorer.
