Today I obtained a Social Security Number. Now the American Government can track all the money I earn, the places I go and the jobs I apply for. This sort of creeps me out, but the upside is worth it. I'm now actually legal to work here. Last year I filed, mistakenly mind you, a faulty tax return and the IRS has been hounding me since the spring. Hopefully now I can get them off my back and pay them. It's just one step closer to the fabulous NYC life I dream of!
The weather here is totally great! The snow is driving down incessantly. I feel bad for those whose are flying, because I'm sure the airports are a real nightmare right now, but I am safe in my room and warm as toast.
