'I said burn it! Burn everything!'
Oh, my. I've just figured out why my screencap from 'Them!' (1954) is getting so much traffic compared to my other images on Flickr:
...Because I included a quote from Joan Weldon about the costumes in 'Them!' in the Flickr blurb, and the quote contains the word 'girdle':
'At that time, it was just another picture - though a very tough picture to make, because of the heavy wool suit that I wore. We were in the Mojave Desert, and it was 110 in the shade. Poor Teddy Gwenn, he had a suit and a tie and a hat, and I had the hat and the high heels and the hose. And, in those days, you wore girdles, and they were heavy!'
I'm so naïve.
