wedding + Air Force = frustrations!
I went home hoping to have it be a relaxing weekend, not so much. It was just a stressful weekend and I probably would have been better off with the long weekend at school. Oh well.
Then talk came up about the wedding again. The thing is, we don't know when we are going to have it yet, it all depends on this Alabama school that James has to go to. He keeps hearing "you'll know within a month", and that's the line everybody has been hearing for the past few months. My dad has something he would like to go to on the east coast the same weekend that we have the tentative date set. He is torn since he wants to do both. Since we don't have a date set, that is throwing the other thing off for him. Yadda yadda yadda. So here are some options if you choose to read them...
-- We might have the wedding in August during my internship since that is when James has guarenteed time off (traveling to the new base). Sure, it would work, but that would mean I would have to drive back to school the next day for my internship...we can not in anyway take time off... That's something I don't want to do!
-- We could still try to keep it in September.
-- Go live in Montana with him and wait another year since we both want a spring or summer wedding.
-- There is a very small chance we could just have the wedding in Idaho since most of my family will be over there already for a family reunion
-- Just go to the court house!!! Which is starting to look like the best option.
-- No matter what we do, it sounds like it may start to turn into a family only type of deal since we don't want the hassle to deal with others and "their schedules"
The reason we want to get it done now is so we can qualify for base housing and I can get healthcare from the military. If we just do the court house thing, it would be perfect since we could get all of that taken care of. But, we both think it's pointless to do that then have a fancy wedding, it seems like we would just be throwing money out.
It's just so frustrating right now. I know it's the military, I knew this was goign to happen. I am fine with it, I am just getting frustrated with my family not understanding why we don't know, and all of the unknowns too. Things will work out, they always do, it's just a matter of when now :-)
