Shingles?! LMAO!!!
So something from left field came and knocked me over the head today. This lovely, yet funny story starts on Sunday when I woke up and thought I slept funny cause my back was hurting. It didn't go away, so I figured it was a delayed muscle pain from starting weights and kickboxing again after a month off. STILL wasn't getting better! Took some ibuprofen, it went away.
Got back to school, looked at my back and saw I had some nasty red looking rashes going on. Still didn't think much. It could just be irritation from a bug or something that had gotten in my shirt. Again, just blew it off.
Woke up today with twice as many red things and some on my chest. Got a bit freaked out, called up James and told him that it was worse (whatever it is). Also told him it was just on one side of my body so he had me call the clinic to get it checked out.
The couple nurses came in and yours truely is diagnosed with Shingles! lol! I don't know why I am laughing, just something so odd ball! I haven't gotten the flu or the cold for quite a while so instead I get this. So I am on Valtrex since this is a form of Herpes that is from a dormant strain of chicken pox which I got in 1st grade.
It's just funny since I have NO IDEA where it came from! It doesn't bother me much other than the constant dull achy pain. So yeah, I am highly amused by this lol!
A side effect of this is excess fatigue and I think that is hitting me now so, good night!
