I am determined that public education is virtually a waste of thirteen years, and American college isn't far behind that. Professors seem to be consistent of two distinctly separating traits:
1 - The quiet recluse, went to school too long themselves, and generally not happy with much of anything.
2 - The overambitious cheerleader. This refers to men too, oh and it most certainly does. These people always dreamed of becoming a teacher, but should have resorted to teaching high school.
There is a small group of virtuous professors but are set back by the lack of basic education. And nobody tries anymore! Why read a whole book when you have Cliff notes. I can see I have a long way to go before I can reach any of my goals. First I better learn how to learn, and quit this bullshit of cheap memorization.
There are a lot of things messed up in the world that I didn't realize 'till recently. In fact you can say that we are in a TITANIC CLUSTER-FUCK. There are very little redeeming qualities that can be seen in our history. Things seem to be getting better socio-politically than in most parts of our past, but we are destroying our world ecologically. Today it seems we are more obsessed with "understanding" our world and universe instead of finding our place in it.
