So some of you have already heard this information through other sources...
Monday, after a hellish weekend of reorganizing, rebuilding, and rememorizing my presentation...
I defended my Ph.D. Dissertation.
It went very well. All I have to do are some minor textual edits to my dissertation and I'll be done. As in done done. As in, I'll be Dr. Dan. Hell yeah! Lots of people were there, and LOTS of people were there in spirit. Thanks to both groups.
My paper got rejected for publication, so we're going to be trying to rework it in the next month before I lose my job.
Spent Thanksgiving with my parents, which has been lovely and relaxing (well, minus the carting and sorting of a million boxes of old dusty stuff for cleaning and donation).
