so, finals are here
fyi, I'm still getting used to this whole livejournal experience...
So finals are in full swing...yay (notice the sarcasm in my words). I always hate this time of the semester because I get soo stressed out over a week which seems to drag on for years. I've taken 2 exams so far, neither of which turned out very well. Maybe I'm not meant to be an International Trade and Finance Major. Maybe, just maybe, I should have listened to Becca and just become a French major. Afterall, it is one of the only things that makes me happy in this world (seeing as I can't major in All My Children, but damn I would love Susan Lucci 4080). The only drawback is that I cannot justify becoming a French major - what would I get out of that? I can't do anything with a major in French...at least nothing I want to do, but then again, what do I want to do anyway? I sure as hell don't know.
Anywho, some plusses of finals week:
-laying on the couch all day long
-SONIC, Burger King, Popeyes, and other random fast food meals because I refuse to cook
-delerious Lion King serenades by the roomie
-FINDING THE LION KING SCORE (not soudtrack) ON A RUSSIAN WEBSITE (words cannot describe how excited this made me)
-fun trips to coffee houses
-rendez-vous in the Union
-NO MORE ISDS or ACCOUNTING EVER AGAIN
-finding some really good music online
-no work in FinAid
-yummy breakfasts
I just can't wait to go back home after all this is over. I miss h-town so much and I just want to walk in my door and have my family with me like they have always been.
It's such a change from being in BR...no stress, you don't have to worry about making other people happy and what they might think of you if you say just one thing wrong thereby making them blow out of the water when in actuality what they do doesn't really matter (whew). Family is something that you will always have, and I am so thankful for mine. I just can't wait to go back home to my bed and my cats and my HDTV. It's going to be lovely.
