I have not left Meagan's side for more than two minutes in over twelve hours - and that feels incredible. I have missed this girl so much these past few months. In all the times I'd spent with her before, I never thought that things could be so good. And while things between will never be perfect, they're close enough for me.
Our day was pretty quiet, but awesome. We watched the X-Games as planned, spent a lot of time talking and almost finished unpacking all her shit from her college dorm. I played her favorite song on guitar, and she almost cried. She went tanning then we went out for pizza. A little while after, she kinda got a little down, but things definitely picked up in the evening. Basically, more X-Games and talking... we didn't do the laundry like her mom asked us to do, nor did we put her sister's shoes by the fireplace to dry. But that's okay. Cuz they're all asleep now, and we're still awake. So we'll probably do that before going to bed.
It's one a.m. and Meagan went to bed about half an hour ago. She's got the radio on, and it's playing 'Alabama' by Cross Canadian Ragweed. I actually like this song, which is strange, because I'm not a big country fan. Anyway, I'm tired, and need some beauty sleep - so give us a call tomorrow afternoon.
"Remember, it's you and me, moth! Hand to hand to hand to hand to hand to..."
She picked up the telephone
All she heard was dial tone
She really thought she heard it ring this time
She said what am I thinking I must be only dreaming
Or maybe it's the hundred times he's crossed my mind
Just tonight
She said maybe I miss your lovin'
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit
Maybe I miss your body lyin' right next to mine
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much
Tossing and turning her skins still burning
From the fire in his hands
Runnin' on empty she needs somebody
But somebody wouldn't understand
Then the telephone rings
He said maybe I miss your lovin'
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit
Maybe I miss your body lyin' right next to mine
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much
They talked about Savannah
Sweet home Alabama
And how he missed the way she always smiled
Are you coming back soon
By the Harvest moon
If I have to walk every mile on my knees
Maybe I miss your lovin'
Maybe I miss your kiss just a little bit
Maybe I miss your body lyin' right next to mine
Maybe I miss your touch a little too much
