Time on my hands could be time spent with you.

Last night was another entry in Brett's Old People Music concert series. Elton John and Billy Joel's Face 2 Face tour made a stop in Detroit, and the two old men put on quite the show. Joel's set was the better of the two (though about a half hour shorter than John's), mainly because he shared some stories, cracked some jokes and was just a more lively presence on the stage. Sir Elton has stronger songs, so maybe he feels like he can take it easy on stage and let Billy do all the hard work. The started on stage together for a short set, then each took the stage, and ended the show with another, longer, joint set. The evening closed with "Candle in the Wind" and "Piano Man," and I about creamed my coffee. It was wonderful.

Next up is No Doubt(!!!) in July. At least there the majority of the crowd should be on my side of 50.

music., stuff.
