Worldly sounds of endless warring.

As predicted (a self-fulfilling prophecy?) May did not go well in the goal department. That's alright though, because it's the start of a new month, and this month I'm going to redouble my efforts and get back on track.

The results that are hardly worth documenting:
Goal #1: To eat less/lose weight/get back in shape/not be a slob: Just horrible. Don't think I exercised once. Also, the first month I reversed momentum. Still -10 for the year.
Goal #2: To save money/pay down debt: Another pretty good showing. Switching to a mostly cash-only system has helped.
Goal #3: To read 50 books in '08: None. Even worse than last month. I'm starting to wonder if I realize that with 52 weeks in the year I'm falling dangerously off pace. I did start Charlotte's Web yesterday -- yes, the one with the pig and the spider -- since I've never read it, and as it clocks in at under 200 pages I should finish it up this afternoon . . . after exercising, of course.

Today's Recomonday! takes us to the cereal aisle where I've been buying a lot of granola over the last month or so. I'll tell you, whoever came up with this granola-for-breakfast idea is a genius. I have a bowl in the morning, mix a little in with my yogurt at snack time; if its physical properties allowed it to do so, it would be flowing through my veins at this point. Graw graw.
