The boundary changes here in the North Wales region gave Plaid Cymru a Constituency seat at Labour's expense. This results in Plaid Cymru losing their list seat to the Conservatives. Therefore the Conservatives notionally gain one seat at Labour's expense.

In the actual results Labour gained a Constituency from the Independent, and lost one to the Conservatives, this resulted in Plaid Cymru winning a list seat from the Conservatives. Therefore relative to the 2003 notional results Plaid Cymru gain one at the expense on the Independent
