Just checked on Olympics Rowing results. Matt Deakin whom I coxed our Freshman year at UW just won the US's first gold since 1964 for the Men's Eight. Go team!

Women's eight won silver. Cox Mary Whipple was also coxing at UW the same time I was.
I didn't see those races live, because I don't have a TV, but I caught a couple of heats at my parent's last weekend. Exciting stuff! The Canadian men's 4 lost to Britain by a mere eight one hundredths of a second. (Ok, maybe not exciting to anyone who is not completely geeky like me. But I know Sarah will appreciate it :)
