New Year's Eve
Last night "D" came over after he suggested we grill steaks and shrimp at my house. Weird, since he is allergic to cats and we always go to his house.
We grilled bacon wrapped fillets, shrimp on a skewer with sliced jalapeno pepper wrapped with bacon, and hot Italian sausage, grilled baked potatoes with sour cream, butter and shredded cheddar cheese. Dessert was sugar free chocolate swirl cheese cake. I bought "snickerdoodle" coffee for the dessert and made it in a "French coffee press". Everything was delicious!
"D" still confuses me with wanting to do things like we did last night. Felt VERY much like a date, but he avoided any kind of touching. At one point, I was reaching for a slice of bacon to wrap around a shrimp. He was standing in front of the bacon with his crotch at about the same level. He pulled back some. I wasn't THAT close.
Anyway, it was a fun way to end the year and the food was delicious!
