So, most of the numbers are in. The Democrats won the House and may win the Senate (there are two close races they seem to be leading in). I'm actually hoping for them to lose the Senate, because I think a split Congress will be better at creating gridlock than a fully Democratic legislative branch, but even that wouldn't be too bad.
(Actually, I'd prefer a Democratic Senate to challenge Bush's appointees and a Republican House to originate conservative budgets, but the present situation's not too bad.)
Incidentally, I'm annoyed at the U.S. media, who don't seem to understand the idiocy of phrases like "an Independent running for the Green Party". You're not an Independent if you're affiliated with a party, you morons. No wonder we can't get any attention...
