The weather here is getting crisp. It's kinda neat, yet strange to me. The leaves are changing color. I actually thought that it would be more impressive than it is, but maybe I just feel that way because all the trees I see seem to be just this side of death. Soon (meaning in a month or so) it will start to snow. I guess I should buy some winter clothes. I've been putting it off until I lost more weight, or at least another inch or two. Here's hoping I can put it off a little longer. Oh, and I need to get my car checked to see if it has the right coolant/water ratio. A frozen block of ice in my engine would be bad. My wonderful boyfriend did buy me this neat scraper thingy for my car. Though I still haven't figured out why it has a dust broom attached to it. Boy, car maintanance is a whole different story out here.
Oh, by the way. I ran out of gas again. I knew the little light was on, I just forgot about it whenever I was near a gas station. Wonderful boyfriend earns brownie points for being my knight in shining armor and rescuing me from the side of the interstate. Uh - duh.
My sister graduates from Nursing school next week. I am super duper proud of her, but I'm also feeling kind of like a loser right now. I'm starting to feel like I should have done something more important with my life. Maybe my calling was to be an astronaut or something, and I missed it. Who know. Cuz the cooking thing is fun and all, but not very life altering ya know. Plus I'm 16 units shy of a degree. Yesterday I started thinking about becoming an elementary school teacher. Maybe middle school, but deffinetly not High School. Ugh, who knows.
My mom and I talked the other night. I think we sorted some stuff out that needed sorting. Now I think we're on the same page again. Mother-daughter relationship almost back to normal.
Oh, and I turn 28 in a month. I feel old, but more in the way of I'm to young to be this old.
These ramblings have been brought to you by Brenda's fragmented mind.
Okay work day over, time to go home Wheeeeee!
