It's a fast life, there's nothing I can do...

Break is nice. I discovered that I do indeed still remember how to sleep outside of math class. I went to Ann Arbor and spaced out almost the entire time, leading to the (obviously incorrect) assumption that I was either "weird" or "on drugs." However, I nevertheless managed to run from one end of the wrong hallway to the other, and saw an awesome existential movie that I'm still trying to sort through in my head. I personally think that trying to work out the meaning of the movie contributed to my spaciness. I went to Cafe 1923 in Hamtramck and obtained an awesome hot mocha beverage. I went to Grandpapa's and watched him empty out his house and took a few things home with me. I saw patches of carpet that hadn't been exposed to the air since 1961. I took a real estate flyer: "Check out this roomy ranch home in Warren...desirable...large lot...custom-built family room...convenient...expressways...call...dollars............wallofink" and wondered how the hell you dilute 46 years of memories (18 of them my own) into an 8.5x11 sheet with large type and a colour photo. I guess this is how people who move all the time feel. Having spent my entire life in the same house, it's somewhat foreign to me. I also checked out the latest Guinness publicity stunt and acquired a rather uninspiring energy drink. I might potentially perhaps possibly maybe have enjoyed the energy drink more had it not been both expired and warm, but it was extremely cheap, so life remained good. And tomorrow I'm going up north to ski, so I fully expect it to continue in that vein.

By the way, has anyone ever seen livejournal's 404 pages? They're rather amusing. Just type in a page on livejournal that you don't think exists, like livejournal.com/aardvarksarecool and hit the refresh button a few times.
