Man, today was pretty fun. It started off with me getting over 8 hours of sleep (I crashed on the livingroom floor around 12:30 and slept for about an hour and then got up and went to bed until 9 or so), which is pretty good considering I got 2 hours Wednesday night, 2 more Thursday afternoon, and 3 Thursday night. Yeah, of course IA is amazing? Why do you ask? Anyway, when I got up Dengates had been there about an hour helping with our garage sale. So I'm told, anyway. It's possible that they actually got there the same time I got up, since I didn't see them while I was asleep. But I digress. Me and Andy went to Grandpapa's in the truck to pick up some stuff he wanted to sell. These things included a box of champagne glasses wrapped in clear plastic as well as a stand-alone metal birdfeeder with a spring-loaded perch that cuts off access to the seed if anything heavier than a bird (like, say, a squirrel) jumps on it. On the way back, we were driving down 11 Mile just east of Dequindre right around the place where it splits away from 696 and these little scraps of clear plastic started flying away behind us. We pulled into a side street and interwove the box flaps so it wouldnt fly open again and kept driving. I won't lie and say that I drove perfectly, but I didn't stall or fry the clutch, so it's all good. Anyway, we got back home and unloaded the stuff and Corinna remembered that Grandpapa always used to keep a spare house key in the birdfeeder. A quick search revealed that, sure enough, there was gold in that thar birdfeeder! Or whatever they make keys out of these days. I don't think a gold key would last very long. Oh, and Bill from U of M showed up with a couple friends, one of whom vaguely remembered coming to my house in his younger days. They were starting a band called Make where the members who didn't play music would build stuff around the band, and had acquired some cardboard blocks for that purpose. Marc Gaulier from IA came by with his dad and bought my bike (the little turquoise schwinn racing bike). Oh, and I got me a hydration backpack. All in all, it was extremely fun. And I spent most of the day outside, which I haven't done much of lately and which I think is healthy or something.

Postscript/shameless advertising section: We're selling stuff tomorrow too.
