The Shakespeare Code

Sometimes, I hate my job; other times, like tonight, I love it. Seriously though, how many people get paid to stay up all night and play around on the 'net and watch Doctor Who? Not too many, I'd reckon.

As the subject might suggests, I've gotten through another episode of series 3. Spoilers under the cut through 3.02...

Not to be compared to a 7 year old, but I found this ep to be a bit scary. Not scary like The Empty Child, but scary none the less. Maybe it was just that I was watching it in the semi-dark at about 3 in the morning all alone. Yeah, that must be it.

The ep itself was good, I think. I like the witches, but I think that maybe it was a bit Charmed for me...

Quick notes that were made in my head as I watched:
-By gosh David Tennant is slim. It's something I know, but when he's not wearing that trench coat, it's all the more noticeable.
-Shakespeare was a looker, yeah?
-Lilith looked really familiar. I'm going to have to check out IMDB to see what else she's been in... Ah ha! What a Girl Wants. I've seen that!
-I don't dislike Martha, but there's something about her that keeps me from liking her either. (Though I do like her jacket...) And no, it's not that she's not Rose. It's like she's being stupid on purpose or something, and I don't get it. Maybe she's flirting or something. Whatev, she needs to stop it.
-I'm glad for the Rose references this go around. Very glad.
-The Globe! I'm so gonna see that in like just a few(ish) days!
-The Doctor seemed more himself this week. Making bad puns and being the attention whore that he is. Looking sad one second and then full of joy the next... He still seems less compassionate than he should be, but not so much as last week. He's got a bit of Nine going on, doesn't he?
-Oh! The bit with the psychic paper was classic. I like when Martha is insulted without really having to insult.
-And all the Harry Potter references cracked me up. Even if the final book did disappoint...

That's all I can think of at the moment. Yes, I really can think. I just avoid it when I can. Till next time...
