(no subject)

Fortunately for those surrounding my (family, clients, moggies) I am slightly less cranky this morning. Mind, I haven't started on the pension fund marathon yet...

I also - finally - managed to get into my own website this morning. (Pause to mumble about Geocities, wanting to re-do the whole site, firewall and page-builder disliking each other, etc.). So have uploaded the new story here.

Had a truly thought-provoking plotty gossip with shanandoha last night (both she and Rhianne are brilliant at this, for which I am eternally grateful). That, plus encouraging words from Alicambs means I'll find an hour somewhere today to whip the infuriating scene into shape and move on. Was too tired and pension-funded out to do so last night so watched an extremely mediocre film with Patrick Swayze and kept jotting ideas down.

On the subject of television, watched a really superb mini-series thing this weekend called 'The Grid' - joint UK/US production, and was highly impressed by it. Was a little sceptical at first as the local reviewers were very scathing (the article started 'they're too pretty' - these people clearly have no idea of the Importance of Eye Candy *g*). But really excellent stuff. And the eye candy was nice. And it avoided syrupy. Shame about the dubbing... and would love to hear the original if the Beeb-for-foreigners ever screens it. Mind, it was made in 2004 so - considering we're still getting Dad's Army and historical dramas from the 90s - I'm not holding my breath.
