"Year in Review"

Dec 12, 2005 18:55

What an insanely busy month this has been. Seldom have I been so eagerly looking forward to a holiday. Four more days to go and then - a glorious 18 DAYS of freedom! And I really really need it - for the past month, the earliest time I've left work in the evening has been 18.45. On most days I've stayed way past 8 p.m. And I came to work for five hours yesterday. Well, there's always someone worse off: Bee's been working both Saturdays and Sundays for more than a month now.

We have some things planned for Finland, but nothing too strenuous. Mostly we're just going to laze around and do nothing. Bliss.

This "Year in Review" thing was fun! Some of these things I had totally forgotten. Plus I seem to be excessively preoccupied with the weather.

Taken from solitudinarian:

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2005. Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review."

January
Went to see "Finding Neverland" today and it turned out to be just as good as most of the reviews I've read said it is.

February
I had one of those fantastic dreams where you actually realize you are dreaming.

March
For some reason I can't get any of my normal Finnish news sources to open. Helsingin Sanomat, Iltasanomat, Iltalehti, Yle, MTV, Suomi 24...

April
Fantastically sunny day today. Blue blue sky, not even one tiny cloud to be seen anywhere.

May
Took a little trip to Hallerbos on Saturday. Weather was fine; warm and sunny but not oppressively hot (the freak heatwave - 31 degrees in the shade - did not happen until Sunday).

June
I'm really looking forward to going to work tomorrow.

July
I am SO happy that London got chosen to host the 2012 Olympics.

August
So I've been back at work for exactly one week today, and every day the holiday seems a more distant memory.

September
The weather's cooled down a bit from the 32+ Celsius it was on Wednesday, but still not enough.

October
October has started, so I guess the summer is officially over.

November
The long weekend continues - we still had a day off today so I went to see Pride and Prejudice with Anna Maija.

December
Oh my.
