(Has it really been almost 6 months since I last blogged?)
Early last week, I noticed a package under the letter boxes.

I could tell straight away it was for me, because it was labelled with my initials.

It was a nice surprise. My sister in law had sent me a care package for Australia Day. It would come in handy for the barbecue I was planning.
With an ever-increasing number of Aussies at work, a celebration of our national day was a must. And so a crowd of 30 (representing 12 different nationalities-or 15 if you include dual nationalities) descended (or ascended?) upon my apartment. There was even a random travelling Aussie who happened to be nearby. A warp in the space-time continuum was exploited to also play the
Triple J hottest 100 (not that I recognised most of the songs, having been absent from the country for so long).
The barbecue was lit (with genuine Australian heat beads, of course) ...
