Writer's Block: Unplugged - Consistently Insincere

Do you talk about your friends in a negative light behind their back? How often?

I'd love to automatically say, "Absolutely not! Never would I do that!"  But the truth is that if something is bothering me about someone I know then the easiest way for me to deal with it is through discussion with another friend or friends.

Optimally I do not believe that anyone should talk negatively about anyone without giving them the opportunity to defend themselves, but sometimes you get to the point where you are not 100% sure what to do about the situation.  Well, I do anyway.  It's a horrible position to be in, where someone you love or care about is doing something that you have difficulty accepting, and if all was perfect there should be no problem with telling them that, but we are human beings and imperfect.

So, in answer to this question, I'm a hypocrite, because I do do this even though I don't believe in it.  Horribly, sometimes I sicken myself when I might do it for more petty reasons, such as gossip, or fitting in with the other person in the discussion.  These are some of the lowest times.
