So, I went to this estate sale this morning that my mom and dad told me about. When they were there yesterday, they saw this old steamer truck/chest, and thought I might want it for a coffee table or something in my living room.
Well, I went and got it -- and a couple of jack stands for the garage -- all for the low price of $17.00.
The Trunk, in all of its beat-up glory.
Here are the jack stands. I will probably use them to change the oil somewhere at some point. Or possibly fix the brakes on the truck. Again.

So, I figured out where Gertrude is leaking from.
I have a bad seal on one of the shafts.
I'm not touching it. I'm not going to crack that thing open without the shop manual, and I'm not entirely sure that I'd want to, even if dad DID find it. I will deal with the flaccid lawnmower for a while and get this damned thing fixed before winter.
Life without a lawn mower = meh.
Life without a snowblower = iz fux0r3d.
