Apparently, the Swine Flu -- Also known as "H1N1" -- is the same strain as the Spanish Influenza , which was a big deal back in 1918.

Okay. It's a nasty customer. I'll give you that. But COME ON.
IT'S THE DAMNED FLU.
We were hit hard in 1918 because we really weren't prepared for it. (And if you look at the numbers, we really weren't hit all that hard for something purported to be a pandemic.) It's popped up again and again and again over the years, and each time we've seen it, it takes fewer and fewer people... because we have its number. We know how it operates. We know where it lives.
So.
Let's everyone take a deep breath and CALM THE FUCK DOWN.
Let's keep doing what we'd do anyway (i.e. proper hygiene) and get on with things.
