Sports Culture and bullying

Has anyone else commented on, or just noticed, that the popular sports here in the States are those that allow or even encourage bullying, however stylized?

Football, hockey, *basketball*, all revolve around scoring via dominance behaviors. Baseball, doesn't, but it's no longer 'America's Pastime', either.
