More roads, ships on the asphalt

As I've mentioned, I have a passion for anonymity.  Why?  Comes from reading a book a long time ago entitled 'The Shockwave Rider', by John Brunner.  Why is anonymity important in this log?  So I can say what I want with some freedom, and not worry about being chastised.  It's my life, thank you, and I figure I should be able to talk about it as I please.

One of my jobs is a tech support job that involves short-ish trips to install new computers for one of our gov't agencies.  It pays OK, but it's only a once or twice a week thing so it doesn't pay the bills.  But, the trips help make up for the lack of geld.  Today was a perfect example.  The install was in a town named Halfway.  It's about a 3 hour drive from home.  Snow around here (recall yesterday's entry) is transient, but can never be ignored, especially when driving.  So I had a choice of the interstate, or a back road.  I took the back road, one I haven't been on since a teenager, and it was a perfect drive.  Little traffic, clear skies, 95% clear roads.  Just a great drive.   Made up for yesterday's frustration.   Coming back wasn't quite so perfect, but I'm home and got paid for travel for a change.  12 hours total?  I'll deal.

Time for a condensed format creative writing effort (aka haiku, but only because it's 5-7-5 )

Watch the corner...... ICE!!!
