Slayers meme, Day 2- Favorite and least favorite ships?
5) Favorite Ship
My favorite "canon" ship is Lina/Gourry. The relationship is developed very well and builds up in a fairly realistic way. The characters have great chemistry and are just very cute together.
....plus, they actually got to second base on screen (and that scene was pretty hot). The fact that they don't remember it doesn't negate the fact that it happened.
My favorite "crack" ship is one I made up as a joke: Luna/Valgaav
I know that comic is stupid as hell. But the idea actually grew on me after I drew it. Go figure.
6) Least Favorite Ship
My least favorite popular/semi-canon ship is Xellos/Filia. I just don't get the appeal. Even if you ignore the fact that Monsters are physically incapable of feeling real "love" (without experiencing awful side effects), the characters just don't have much chemistry. Yeah, it's somewhat entertaining to watch them fight (at least it is the first 50 times they do the "fight like an old married couple" gag). But that's hardly the basis for a solid relationship.
