I love California
Well it's my last day in California and I must say that I love it here. I've seriously just fell head over heals in love with this place. It's amazing. The landscape is so pretty (I have a few pics available on facebook soon), the ocean is beautiful, and the weather is so nice too (NO HUMIDITY).
Sat: This is the day I arrived. It was a very long day because of the time change! I arrived in San Luis Obispo (SLO pronounced Slow by the townies) at about 5pm. After that my cousin and I went to a town called Morro Bay. It's this little town on the bay (go figure). We got coffee and walked down by the ocean. I saw a sea otter!!!!! It was really cute. Then we went shopping in this little store called "Brenda Sue's"....how could we resist? It was this little vintage shop and so fun. After that we rented a movie and crashed.
Sun: My cousin had to work so I was on my own for most of the day. I hung out in the downtown and went shopping. After that my cousin got off of work and I went to the beach. We then went to a hip hop show downtown. I really didn't know what to expect, but it turned out being really cool.
Mon: I headed down to Avila beach. The bus dropped me off 3 MILES from the beach!!! I had to walk...oh man. It was a funny adventure though. Met some locals and got tons of blisters on my feet. I finally made it there and I ate lunch with my cousin. Then I hung out at the beach and got a tan! YAY! After my cousin got off of work we went to this party at her friend's house. Californians know how to party!
Tues: I was on my own again today. Went exploring. Then my cousin and I went to a 4th of July get together. Very fun!
Wed: MY cuz didn't have to work!!! I was so happy. We drove down to Santa Barbara and shopped and walked around. We met up with my other cousin too. Santa Barbara is a cool town right on the ocean. Very touristy!
Thurs: that's today! Just hanging out til Vanessa (my cuz) gets home. Then some more fun I hope.
Fri: Leaving for Michigan!
Californian slang that everyone must use:
Chill- cool, fun, awesome
ex: "So and So" is the chillest person I know.
Don't worry the party will be chill.
Sick- nice, cool
ex: Isn't this beach sick?
Ate shit- fell down
ex: I totally ate shit while skateboarding today.
Supposedly I have an accent:-D
Met some really awesome people and I'm definitely stoaked for a another trip to Cali! When? soon!
