Today was very nice and warm. I took Keiko for a long, unrushed walk. The first relaxed Keiko walk (without being all bundled up and hidden from the sun) since the coldness came. I wore a t-shirt.
Mariah called tonight to talk. I miss her a lot.
It seems that everyone I especially and particularly and exclusively like I never see. (except for Lauren) (and Maybe Matt qualifies as well - and now I guess also Charlie)
Steven is home and needless to say (to myself anyways) we are watching a lot of nonsense on the old television set.
America's Funniest Home Videos is on all day I swear,
and what's more, they are still putting out new ones.
It seems like that age is dying (maybe should already be dead), but that is what we've been watching.
also we watched a few episodes of
Reading Rainbow
I kind of love LeVar Burton.
In this one episode he took us behind the scenes of Star Trek, and it was so precious.
He was so cute asking his questions about how they did this or that.
And the man that was in charge of the special effects told us how the did things,
Like for the transport/teleportation beams! They put sparkles in a jar of water and swirled them around! and them filmed that and put it over the original film using an easy little paintshop-pro-like program
It was so simple and creative, and I'm in love with how people used to do things.
and
I am angry at computers. They make my life easier, but oh, how they Ruin creativity.
Have you seen Be Kind Rewind? that has nothing to do with this week
(also if you want great stories, ask me about a spiderman comic store robbery or a brazilian prison uprising/hostage situation)
also i am so completely entirely out of money now
