Cupcakes!
Daniel's Birthday is tomorrow, so today I baked 42 cupcakes. I made lemon cupcakes filled with lemon curd, lemon cupcakes with raspberry filling, chocolate cupcakes, and chocolate raspberry filled cupcakes.
Tomorrow I will frost and garnish. The lemon cupcakes will get lemon cream cheese frosting and be garnished with sugared lemon slices and mint, lemon raspberry will be garnished with raspberries and mint (and maybe sugared lemon slices if it doesn't make them look too busy). The chocolate cup cakes get chocolate cream cheese frosting and mint and broken dark chocolate squares for garnish. The chocolate-raspberry cupcakes will have chocolate-raspberry cream cheese frosting and be garnished with raspberries and broken dark chocolate squares (and mint if it doesn't make them look too busy).
I also did a trial run of DIY cupcake stand project from The DIY Bride book. It turned out okay. It's a little lopsided. I think next time I'll try making this stand. It looks like it might be a little more stable and easier to line up.
I'll post pics of the stand and the cupcakes in a day or two.
