Have you ever found something of yours that you made or wrote that your memory had not at all retained and when you do happen to stumble upon it it comes as a complete and shocking surprise, just like finding that there is yet an episode that you have not seen of a cherished series that you thought you had finished?
It happens to me often enough to merit concern; a product of being both a meticulous archivist and in stubbornly proud possession of a "who-the-hell-is-that-bastard-staring-at-me-through-my-window--oh-it's-a-mirror" memory.
For a while there I forgot, ignored, or otherwise failed to remember, I actually had a Twitter account that was active for a little while.
I tried on a very different mask there.
This is my twit from December 24, 2012:
Do you ever just stop and think to yourself whether or not Santa still believes in you?
And for some inexplicable and utterly asinine reason I am really proud of myself for having written that. I am also really happy that I have no memory whatsoever of having written that, because I burst out laughing when I read it.
