Yesterday was my first class -- Algebra 1. Yay for going back to 7th grade! But I think it's the right choice (as opposed to going into Algebra 2, which I tested into about a year ago). It's going back to a time when I actually understood what I was being taught... When it still made sense. And since I -don't- really remember a lot of this stuff, instead of just doing a quick review, I'll really, confidently, know it. It's also a way of gently easing myself back into math, which is so difficult for me.
So yeah, I think I'll do okay, and the class seems fine. I just need to remember things like 10-6=4, not 2. *sighs* Yes, I do do that on a regular basis.
In other news, my parents, who are awesome, got me
this shirt! And it got shipped today, which means it should arrive in 1-5 days. :D
This morning, I heard this terrible, high-pitched, electrical-sounding buzzing in the kitchen, and it turned out to be a fly caught in a spider's web. It was buzzing so hard that the spider -- who was slightly smaller than the fly -- couldn't even get close to it to bind it up. It kept being almost shaken off its own web. >< (Which I'm sure was the fly's aim for itself.)
