It's official!
We're a launched ship on it's shakedown cruise for Starfleet. :) What this means in layman's terms is that we have several months to a year to bring in (and keep) 10 members for a crew, in good standing with SFI, who can meet up with us on a regular basis to do those fun things we keep mentioning doing, but also to help with promoting the ideals of a positive, peaceful future... to do that, we participate in voluntary and charitable acts in our community and for the world at large. We raise awareness, and funds/goods, for these issues that continue to leave lives impoverished or in some form of ruin.
Now, we're building a better tomorrow. We're riding the wind towards a brighter future. There are already some wonderful souls helping me with this endeavor: purrzah, walks_far, Saros, Ander, mysranthia, SGTsnuggs and nylima. It can only get easier from here with more to join us in our efforts. I am hopeful that more of my local friends will share in this venture, whether they become crew members who join SFI, or simply share the ride as "civilians" as we make our course to a brighter tomorrow, inspiring the next generation along the way.
