So, today I'm feeling a lot better. I actually got a regular amount of sleep, only slightly broken up when I woke after 5 hours with a bit of coughing, went to the couch and lay down there to sleep another 5 hours. Purr slept fairly well, too. She's actually sounding a bit better, though she still doesn't have much of a voice. Since we've aired the house, and gotten all the germ-infested clothing, bedding and towels washed, we've spent time disinfecting the place and making sure we'll finally be able to get over this crud. We've been doing better, since taking care of that; so I suppose that was half the problem was keeping the place closed up and not having the energy to clean up, even after we were starting to feel better, last time.
Today, we need to go get a few items to supplement our groceries, but at least we don't have a lot to get. Tomorrow, we'll have Daal'Rakken over for a visit, since it'll be the last time we'll likely be able to see him before he heads off across the waves. I only wish Purr and I were able to go on one of the cruises with him, this time around... but things being as they are, it's not about to happen for either of us, this year. At least we did have the chance to do it, though. It's interesting, I know that I'll still be able to chat with Daal online, but part of me has this feeling that this particular cruise will change a lot for him, and what Purr and I are dealing with right now will be changing us a lot, too. I'm just hoping that in those changes we don't end up growing apart, as we both really enjoy Daal's company, his wit, and his sense of wonder about the world around him.
I'm not sure what this coming week will bring, either, but I do know I'll have to get some paperwork in to the Unemployment offices on Monday before 5pm. If Purr's not able to get in to work, that day, then I'll have to figure out just how I'm going to do that. On top of that, though, I've also got to check with the temp agency about getting some work; and I need to check back with a couple of those other companies that I put in resumes with, to see if they've hired or reached any sort of decisions yet. At least I know the one job I really want to get into hasn't been taken already, since I got a confirmation e-mail of getting my paperwork and that they'd be reviewing things and wouldn't make a decision for another few weeks. I did have an online interview with them, albeit a very brief one, and that seemed promising! So, here's hoping that I can get another interview with them this coming week.
