o/~ All my life's a circle, sunrise and sundown... o/~
Well, things are going alright for the most part. Work is continuing forward. I've spent time relaxing a bit more than usual, this week, because I managed to do a number on my right foot. I was walking along the road, crossed the train-tracks to get to the bus stop, and slipped on the track, my foot bending at an odd angle and a pronounced POP and tingling was felt. One of the parents, an M.D. by profession, suggested (after taking a look at it) that it was likely a bad sprain or ligaments were torn/pulled, which could have also caused minor fractures.
In any case, it's hurt to walk... but I also had kids accidentally stepping on that foot throughout the week... and I've still be on it enough that it's not feeling much better. Only once did a kid threaten to kick me in my foot, and that child was dealt with by another worker for the next two days. I'm hoping with the four day weekend, I'll get a chance to actually put it up and get it on the mend. Drawings, movies and a good book should help with that.
Today, Purr's home from work, though. She woke up, but was running a high fever and had been alternately chilled and hot through the night; also dealing with sniffles and a very sore throat. I'm going to try to keep her hydrated with hot toddies, chicken and shrimp broth, and a fair amount of snuggling time in the blankets. In and around that, I'll have laundry to to, and perhaps a bit of baking that I'd been hoping to get around to, as well. And here I was hoping to chat up Xylen, Seurak, Whitefang, Walksfar, Baphnedia and some of my other "family" and friends.
Maybe later in the weekend, or perhaps on Monday, instead. We'll see what happens.
