after the city
We wake up the next morning around 10, because paul has a dentist appoinment. It is new years eve, our anniversary. after the appointment we go back home and sleep some more, I couldnt believe how tired we were. When midnight hit, we kissed and i felt fireworks besides the one i heard on tv. We drank some sparkling grape juice and then headed to bed, as we were still exhausted. For the next few days we hung around troy, play in the snow, eat some different cuisines, and just be a couple. I miss those random, everyday things you do together as a couple. Then on Friday, Paul's friend Ben and his girlfriend Cara arrive from New Mexico. Cara is moving to NY to go to grad school and work. We went to La Porto's again and had the sense to share a meal. Which even then, we couldnt finish everything on our plates. That place is sooo amazing. we got dessert and then got to meet the chef, who was from italy, and told us all about his wife. He was awesome. After that we all went back to paul's and hung out and watched cops. One episode turned into a season, and we had a great time. Im glad we have cool people to hang out with this summer.
Then sunday came. :( i had to leave sunday. We spent as much time together as we could until it was time for me to go. I tried not to cry as much as i could but i did, i cried alot. Why the hell woul i want to leave this wonderful place with my wonderful man for ruston? I had to keep telling myself, you'll be back this summer, you'll be back this summer. Dont worry. But i still cried. on the plane and when i got back in monroe and the airline lost my luggage. I had to miss class the next day to wait for it to show up, which it eventually did after 3:30. I couldnt eat when i first came home, but eventually got my appetite back.
Today i got an email offering me the internship, with a set amount of money and saying he'd like to have me work for him all of June July and August. Im so excited, its actually happening, im leaving louisiana! I called my whole family and they are excited for me. I think i need to go shopping for work clothes, but maybe when summer gets closer. I had no one to celebrate with, but maybe i will later, AH! yay!
